Be familiar with sanitation regulations Setting up of the kitchen with cooking utensils, equipment, cutlery etc Cook food in a timely manner Assign tasks to kitchen staffs Ensure the safety and hygiene of the kitchen Supervise cooks and offer assistance whenever needed Experiment with new recipes Ensure compliance with the health and safety regulations Modify recipes to meet customers’ needs and requests (e.g. reduce salt, remove dairy)

Proven work experience as a chef or cook Good communication skills Great time management skills Strong organizational skills Ability to do multi-tasking Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment (e.g. grillers and pasta makers)
