Job Title: Fitter (SS Fabrication & Assembly – Food Grade Equipment) Location: Chennai Department: Production / Fabrication & Assembly Industry: Dairy & Food Processing Equipment Manufacturing Job Description: Fitters with hands-on experience in stainless steel fabrication and assembly for food-grade equipment. The role involves marking, cutting, drilling, fitting, and assembling SS 304/316 components. The candidate will work on tanks, pipelines, and machine structures, ensuring proper alignment, leveling, and dimensional accuracy as per engineering drawings. Key Responsibilities: Interpret GA drawings and fabrication layouts Perform fit-up, trial assembly, and coordinate with TIG welders Handle sheet metal and structural assemblies Use measuring tools and maintain tight tolerances Identify and resolve fitment issues Requirements: ITI Fitter / Mechanical or equivalent 3–7 years of relevant experience Strong knowledge in SS fabrication and assembly Basic welding coordination knowledge Work Environment: Factory-based role with possible extended working hours.
