Job Description Fabrication Fitter to join our team. This role involves interpreting blueprints, using various tools and machines, and assembling metal components with precision and safety. The ideal candidate should have strong mechanical aptitude, a solid understanding of tools and equipment, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements. Measure, cut, drill, grind, and assemble metal components using various hand and power tools. Operate fabrication machinery including lathes, grinders, drills, and saws. Fit parts accurately using jigs, clamps, and other alignment tools. Perform basic welding and tack welding tasks as needed. Follow safety procedures and use protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and solve fabrication challenges. Maintain clean and organized workstations and ensure equipment is properly cared for. Manage time effectively to meet deadlines without compromising quality. Perform quality checks to verify component dimensions and tolerances Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude and a natural understanding of how machines and components work. Solid knowledge of hand and power tools, fabrication equipment, and measuring devices. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Basic machining skills including cutting, drilling, and shaping metals. Commitment to safety awareness and workplace compliance. Effective teamwork and collaboration skills. Good communication skills for reporting issues and working with supervisors and co-workers. Strong time management abilities to prioritize tasks and meet production schedules. Good level of physical fitness to lift materials, stand for long periods, and perform manual tasks. Preferred Qualifications: Trade certification or diploma in fabrication, mechanical fitting, or a related field. Experience in metal fabrication, mechanical assembly, or a similar industrial environment. Basic welding experience (MIG, TIG, or Stick). Forklift or overhead crane experience is a plus.
